It has all the features that you might need from a home weather station. It has a 5-in-1 weather sensor that measures indoor/outdoor temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed, and air pressure.
It also comes with a lightning detector, which not all weather stations have. A great bonus, in our minds.
The display unit of this weather station is one of our favorites. While it’s only powered by AC power, which makes it less portable, it’s a beautiful piece of hardware that’s easy to read. It displays everything in HD, with images and graphs to back up all the information.
We also love that it’s a highly affordable weather station. While not the cheapest available, it’s excellent value-for-money.
Overall, we think it’s a great weather machine. Of course, nothing is without its downsides. But with the AcuRite 01024M Pro, we think the upsides far outweigh any downsides it might have.

Temperature readings are within 2 degrees, while humidity readings are all within 3-5%. Rainfall is within 0.05 inches, wind speed is within 2-5mph, and wind direction is within 16 points.
All of this means that you’ll have a super accurate reading of the weather conditions around your home. It also makes its weather predictions, based on current and past conditions, highly accurate.
The lightning detector can detect lightning up to 25 miles away, meaning you’ll have plenty of warning of incoming storms.
Durability
All of the parts included in the AcuRite 01024M Pro are very durable. It’s built with high-quality materials, both for indoor and outdoor use.
All of the weather instruments and outdoor equipment are weather-proof. This means that they’ll resist any rain, wind, or stormy weather that they might be subjected to.
On top of this, this weather station also comes with a 1 year extended warranty. Not only does this show how much they trust their own product, it means that you can rest assured that any issues will be fixed within the first year.

The display is one of the best, and worst, parts of this weather machine.

Like we mentioned previously, not all weather stations come with lightning detectors. In fact, only a few of AcuRite’s weather stations come with this feature.
This makes it a great bonus for such an affordable station.
Not only can it detect lightning from up to 25 miles away, but this weather station can also count the number of lightning strikes and estimate their distance.
This is super useful for tracking and predicting storms and makes the AcuRite 01024M Pro a must-have just for that.
Connectivity
Connectivity is one of the most important features of an AcuRite weather station. This is because AcuRite comes with some great connectivity options.
The AcuRite 01024M Pro can send data to your console from up to 330ft away.
Unlike other weather stations, you can’t connect to MyAcurite, your PC, or your smartphone with this, which is a bit of a downside.
