Overall Assessment
The AcuRite Atlas 01007M was a long-awaited release in the AcuRite line of weather stations and quickly became a fan favorite. For good reason, too.
Like the 01009M, it comes with three options for purchase. The base model comes with just the weather machine and display. The middle option comes with the weather machine and WiFi display. The best option comes with the weather machine, HD display, and remote monitoring.
Each option comes with a different level of connectivity and different features, but each one is great. The option you choose mostly just depends on your budget and preferences.
We prefer the best option, but at around $270 it’s on the pricey side.
What we love about the 01007M is that it comes with a lightning detector. Initial models did have issues with the lightning counter, but those issues have since been resolved.
It’s a durable model that comes with battery power. This does mean that you have to replace the batteries after mounting, but it makes it portable and moveable.
The 7-in-1 weather sensor is highly accurate and can measure everything from temperature to UV and light intensity.
Overall, we think it’s a great option for anyone looking for a high-end, highly accurate product.

Durability
The AcuRite Atlas 01007M is a very durable model, with few issues reporting any issues in durability.
Although it is made with lightweight material, it’s built to last you years. The weather sensor can handle any weather, as you might expect.
All of the displays that come with it are also high quality.
AcuRite also provides you with a warranty that covers most issues you might have. Their customer support is excellent, and fixes are quick.
Accuracy
Like we’ve said before, the AcuRite Atlas 01007M is highly accurate.
The cheaper options might have a slightly larger margin of error, but they are all within a reasonable range.
Temperature readings are all within 1 degree Fahrenheit, while humidity is within 2%. Rain is within 5%, and wind direction is within 3 degrees. All readings are within similar margins.
The high levels of accuracy are what makes the 01007M stand out to us. Other than other Atlas models, most other weather stations don’t compare with this one in terms of accuracy.
Lightning Detector
Another outstanding feature of the 01007M, the lightning detector is a big reason we love it.
Not many weather stations come with lightning detectors, especially not before the Atlas range. So we think it’s a great bonus for your purchase.
As with the 01009M, some of the cheaper options might not come with the lightning detector included. So make sure to check the exact specs of the one you’re buying.
The lightning detector can count the number of lightning strikes detected in a storm. It can also predict the distance of the lightning up to 25 miles away.
Display
Unlike other models in the Atlas range, the design and quality of the 01007M’s displays are all similar.
This is great if you’re on a budget but still want a nice, sleek-looking display.
All of the displays can be mounted or set on a desk. They are all touch screen HD displays. They all display your weather data in an easy-to-read manner and have images and graphs to supplement it.
This makes looking at your weather information a nice experience.
The middle and best options can also connect to MyAcurite and WeatherUnderground. This allows you to view your weather data from anywhere. The setup of these weather apps is also straightforward and easy to read.
